Step 12
Pull the display data cable out of its socket on the logic board. Do not lift upward on the display data cable connector as you disconnect it.

Remove the LCD assembly from the iPad 2.
Step 14 – Display Data Cable
Remove the small strip of black tape covering the display data cable connector on the LCD.
Step 15
Use the edge of a plastic opening tool to flip up the metal retaining clip on the display data cable connector.
Step 16
Pull the display data cable out of its socket and remove it from the LCD. Do not pull upwards on the display data cable as you disconnect it.
